Peakfiddlers  Macclesfield fiddle players society - Delayed until mid 2009 - send an email to express your interest and you will be placed on the website mailing list.
I am currently looking into the possibility of starting a fiddle players group which will meet each month in a Macclesfield venue. Allowing players from a variety of fiddle playing  backgrounds to meet regularly and enjoy playing together in a friendly social atmosphere. The venue is likely to be a hired room in a public house.
I would welcome any feedback from people visiting this website who may be interested in joining. I guess initially this is not for novices, but for fiddle players who perhaps enjoy playing one or two tunes with other players, like to share ideas about  styles and passing on tips about how to play the instrument.
Any one interested, send me an email and let me know  Peakfiddler
News about traditional Melodeon Playing
I purchased a low cost Scarlatti melodeon. It plays in the key of D and G. It's really good value for money and easy to play.

Here is a recording of the Scarlatti in which I play a couple of my self penned tunes called 'Little Morris / Cassie's Polka'. I have included a four bar intro' so that it would be suitable for an English Ceilidh Set.

The instrument in the photo at the top of this webpage is a single row Hohner melodeon. It only plays in G and is a real 'growler'.

I am now on myspace and I have uploaded two completely new recordings
News about Electric Violins
I have just bought a Bridge Electric violin and am delighted with the quality of build and sound of the instrument.
This tune is called 'Happy Paradise' and was recorded more or less clean of fx. It's another one of my own compositions.
