A weekly session for folk fiddle players and some accompanying instruments.Everyone, who enjoys folk fiddle music is very welcome and we always appreciate a good audience.
The earlier part of the evening would be suitable for those who are new to folk fiddle playing and wishing to learn some popular session tunes.Later in the evening fiddle tunes may be heard from a variety of different folk styles including Irish, Scottish, English, Shetland, American, Cape Breton, Canadian, Cajun, Klezma, Jazz, the list is endless...
Very much depends on the fiddle players participating. Please come along and join in the fun.
Peakfiddler and Shetland Will are both there on fiddles + hopefully many other guest fiddle players. We also encourage players of guitar and other stringed instruments to join in with the session, so don’t hold back.
New fiddle players, just wanting to gain some confidence, you are very welcome. Join in, or just listen, or play along with some of the tunes... I will bring some musical notation, which you are welcome to take.
You don't necessarily have to play to join in with the fun. Step and clog dancers are very welcome.Hope to see you there...from
